Right after buying my recent home I set out upon the task of walking thru the house making my plans for ALL the renovations that were to take place; knocking down walls, new roof, new wood and tile floors, kitchen remodel, 4-season room addition, electrical/plumbing upgrades and building two bathrooms that would be the Oasis in my "hidden in the woods" home.
Now that I'm finished with the first bathroom and this little gem is up and in use, All I can say is WOW!!!
The panel is well constructed and yet relatively lightweight (mainly plastic and pressed sheet metal components). The installation is pretty straightforward and because I built my bathroom to fit THIS SPECIFIC panel, the stud work behind the wall/tiles was laid out to give the necessary support required to basically hang this product up like a large picture. Plumbing was ran to accommodate the height at which it would be hung and to easily connect to the hose work on the backside of the unit. The unit is built with two cross members on the backside where the supporting wall hooks hold the item in place.
Once insuring all plumbing was run to code and leak free/tested, tile work began (which is another story in itself). Once that portion of the reno was completed I hung this little puppy, connected the lines and gave it a test run; it was truly a thing of beauty:-) The rainfall feature, waterfall feature, body shower, body jets, handheld wand and spicket/bucket filler all worked flawlessly:-) And because I have pretty decent water pressure I can run two features simultaneously with decent results. Oh!!! did I mention the mood light? Talk about adding a calming hypnotic ambiance to my shower experience:-)
I can't say enough great things about this shower panel. From delivery to installation to usage it's been wonderful. So much so that I'll be buying a second for my master bathroom remodel:-)
Oh almost forgot, assembly was a breeze because there was very little to assemble, the unit comes assembled except for the handheld wand. The instructions are quite minimal because there isn't much to tell. A quick explanation is given as to the various ways to hang the unit and mention is made to the controls, which are very easy to use and figure out seeing as how each dial has embossed icons letting you know which feature you're using. On that note, there are three dials; your water temperature on/off dial, a dial for three features and a third dial for the remaining three features. Near the top located on the back are on/off switches for your lights and digital temperature screen respectively.
My panel has been in use for 5 months so far and it has worked great as well as impressed everyone that has been over to see it. It really is a beautiful modern-like piece of art:-)
If you're still on the fence about this item my advice; give it a try and i suspect you'll be as pleasantly surprised with yours as I am with mine.
